Summary

Role Summary

Finance Systems, Data and Technology G6s lead a team of finance systems, data, technology and project delivery professionals. They are responsible for continuous improvement of finance systems, ?data and technology as well as business processes ensuring that finance data ownership is in place across the department. They help to maintain the integrity, reliability and resilience ?of finance systems and data across the department, ensuring that the service provided to the finance function are effective, efficient and support the delivery of the department?s objectives. They will be a champion for change to drive continuous system improvement and transformation, while effectively engaging with stakeholders ?across the department and other government departments. The role holder leads systems and change projects ensuring 'buy in' from impacted teams.

Have a key leadership role and are likely to be responsible for managing multiple teams, supporting larger and more complex areas of the business or multiple organisations.

Systems & Data Management:

Manage the effective delivery of financial systems, data and technology across the organisation, including effective controls and risk management.

Deliver business change which improves user experience via an efficient, effective and intuitive process.

Intelligent Customer Function:

Provide expert advice regarding systems and technology to senior officials and external suppliers.

Improve and transform financial systems, data and technology to meet stakeholder needs.

Finance lead on major contract changes and tendering processes.

Liaise with and manage relationships with Shared Service providers.
