Contributing to the design and development of an Orange Book compliant risk management framework.
At this grade the risk management practitioner supports business partnering, and maintains day-to-day contact with risk managers and co-ordinators across the organisation. This role supports the business to identify, assess and monitor risk and to implement improvements in risk management maturity.

Supporting the delivery of outcomes, in line with Chief Risk Officer's vision by developing and implementing risk guidance and tools.
Providing upskilling and support which empowers colleagues to complete the risk cycle
Commissioning and producing departmental risk register reports for governance meetings which include commentary and insight regarding the effectiveness of risk control measures
Developing an understanding of organisational principal risks through risk identification and analysis and establishing supporting processes with risk owners
Monitoring, challenging and reporting on the quality and content of risk reports to promote continuous improvement.
Providing succinct, reliable, timely and persuasive analysis and information on risks and compliance challenges.
Engaging with stakeholders and governance mechanisms to ensure risk management advice is aligned with organisational objectives and priorities.
Building strong relationships across the departmental risk community within an organisation, including Agencies and Arm's Length Bodies.

OGC Management of Risk foundation or practitioner course
IRM Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management (or equivalent)
This role does not require previous risk management experience, however individuals may have had some exposure to risk management in project or programme roles
This role is suitable for an individual without risk management experience who is keen to pursue a career in the risk profession. An understanding of The Orange Book is beneficial.
